Applications

  • Power supply system NN1000 is designed for uninterruptible operation of devices in which main ac voltage is primary power source and batteries are secondary. Main applications are:

    Equipment to be used in telecom, datacom, and network applications

    Supervision and control system equipment

    Equipment to be used in security and monitoring applications

System overview

  • Rectifier - DC/DC converter (K1) providing DC output power to load
  • Charger – DC/DC converter (K2) providing optimal battery charging:

    Battery charging is independent of rectifier and move according to optimal charging characteristics given by battery manufacturer - works like current/voltage source (IU characteristics)

    Converter K2 works like reserve power supply when K1 is out of function

  • System of semiconductor switches providing:

    uninterruptible DC output power to load

    connecting load, batteries and auxiliary load with converters K1 and K2

  • Control block:

    Through PWM modulation directly controlling K2 converter

    Control of semiconductor switches system mentioned above

    Detection of system failures – overload detection, loss of AC detection, battery damage, load failures

    Sensing and readout of all analogue values – voltages and currents of K1, K2, batteries and loads

    Providing remote monitoring and controlling through listed and/or switched line

  • During line ac voltage failure, voltage to load is provide from batteries. After return of line voltage load automatically gives power from converter K1, and batteries are charged through converter K2
